So that no child misses Christmas!

“The Smile of the Child”, faithful to its mission to support every child and family in need in Greece, in view of the Christmas season, is carrying out a Pan-Hellenic Campaign to Collect Food and Essential Goods, until December 13, 2024, in order to meet the ever-increasing needs of already financially weak families. Your support is vital to strengthen our actions and services, supporting:

Children hosted in the Organization’s Homes nationwide. 

Children whose families face serious financial problems, unable to meet basic needs

29 years “The Smile of the Child” with the valuable help of everyone has managed to meet the needs of a total of 201,491 children and their families with serious living problems.

We call on all of you, individuals and businesses, to participate in the nationwide campaign to collect food and other basic items, and together to ensure that no child misses Christmas…

Only with the participation of all of us, will we be able, this Christmas too, to ensure the most beautiful and warm Christmas for children and their families!

The sensitivity and mobilization of the children who will respond to the appeal will be of vital importance for the operation of the Organization and will highlight social sensitivity and the meaning of giving, while creating conditions of optimism.

The process of collecting, managing and transporting the items is carried out with complete transparency. In particular, the items offered are transported by specialized vehicles of the Organization (refrigerated trucks, specialized refrigerators) to the Organization’s Support Centers and Item Banks. The management and storage of the items is carried out individually, by category, with respect and absolute compliance with safety and hygiene rules.

Below you will find the food and essential items that we are collecting, as well as the 14 points nationwide where the products are received:

• Infant milk No. 1 & 2
• Infant creams
• Evaporated milk
• Baby care items (diapers No. 4, 5 & 6,
• baby wipes, shampoo, shower gels)
• Breakfast items (cocoa, cookies, croissants, cereals, toast, honey, jam, merengues, juices)
• Personal care items (shampoos, shower gels, toothpastes, toothbrushes, etc.)
• Household items (aluminum foil, transparent film, greaseproof paper, garbage bags, disposable gloves) use)
• Sugar
• Pasta
• Oil
• Spices
• Vinegar
• Legumes
• Cleaning products (general-purpose cleaners and disinfectants, fabric softener, laundry detergent, bleach, etc.)
• Rice
• Tomato sauce
• Packaged Christmas Sweets (honey macarons, kourabiedes, etc.)
• Paper products (toilet paper, kitchen paper, paper napkins)
